About the Role

Galliard Homes Ltd is seeking a skilled Building Services Operative to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance activities related to fire protection assets at our residential sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform remedial works resulting from fire door inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Execute maintenance and repair tasks as directed by management, adhering to high standards and procedures.
  • Assist in the compilation of specifications for additional, quoted, and remedial works.
  • Undertake troubleshooting and remedy activities related to life safety systems, including AOV and emergency lights.
  • Perform minor decoration works, adjustments to carpentry items, and use hand and power tools to complete various tasks.
  • Work within a team or autonomously to complete allocated tasks, assessing issues at properties and deciding the best course of action.
  • Support inventory management of materials, tools, and equipment, and report any safety or risk-related findings promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and attend internal training sessions and toolbox talks.
  • Meet performance targets for project delivery, billable hours, and key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working on residential sites and/or in construction and maintenance.
  • Proven track record completing a variety of building maintenance tasks.
  • Experience in general joinery and carpentry tasks.
  • Full clean driving license for UK operations.
  • Polite and professional demeanor, proactive nature, and hands-on approach.
  • Smart, professional, and presentable appearance.
