About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at one of our specialist schools. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic and neurodivergent children and young people to access highly personalised programmes of study.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in a classroom setting, providing individualised attention and care.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
  • Help students with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised education plans.
About You

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with autistic individuals and is willing to learn and develop their skills. You should be able to use your initiative, be friendly and approachable, and have good communication skills. Experience is not essential, as we provide comprehensive induction, training, and mentoring to ensure your success in this role.
