Job Overview
As a Senior Associate - Corporate Lawyer at Trowers & Hamlins, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and friendly corporate department that offers clients access to a wide range of corporate legal services. Our team advises on private company mergers and acquisitions, private equity, investments, re-organisations, joint ventures, capital restructuring, equity capital markets, fundraisings, and corporate governance.

The role is a blend of financial services regulatory and funds work, making it an exciting opportunity for those interested in this field. You will be working with clients from various industries, including real estate related funds and fund managers, hedge funds, private equity firms, payment service providers, and banking institutions.

We offer a chance to build lasting relationships with clients and an unobstructed progression track. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £90,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on new fund structures and assisting with fund formations.
  • Dealing with consumer financial services instructions.
  • Advising on financial services regulations.
  • Assisting on enforcement disputes.
  • Advising on general corporate matters.
  • Advising on ad hoc day-to-day corporate queries from our clients.
  • Business Development - initiating, building and maintaining effective client relationships.
  • Pro-active participation in department and firm-wide marketing initiatives.

Requirements
The firm has a Career Development Framework which sets out the competencies we expect of those at the Senior Associate (or equivalent) grade. In particular for this role we require:
  • Qualified senior associate (6 PQE+) with Financial Services Regulatory experience
  • Funds experience would be an advantage
  • Drive, enthusiasm and vision

  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • Strong client focus and a commitment to service delivery;
  • Strong technical and organisational skills;
