HGV Mechanic Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team at Demob Job Ltd in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in top condition for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and record any necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
  • Complete job cards and write reports on customer vehicle fleets.
  • Perform pre-mot checks and complete mot testing on vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience working on HGV vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Class 2 HGV/LGV Licence is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic electrical knowledge for fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
