About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our Ward team in Birmingham.

You will be a valued member of our team, supporting the professional staff with the overall care for all patients in the department.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Welcoming and greeting patients to the department
  • Explaining the layout and demonstrating how to summon assistance
  • Assisting in preparing patients for Theatre
  • Ensuring patient test results are in their file for surgery
  • Managing patient medication and ordering stock
What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is willing to work hard, learn, and develop in the role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience or a good understanding of HCA duties and responsibilities
  • Experience in caring for others
  • The ability to receive and communicate information accurately
  • A professional telephone manner
  • Flexibility to fit into our internal rotating shift pattern
