Job Summary

Network Rail is seeking a skilled Performance and Assurance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assurance and compliance processes within the delivery unit, monitoring and reporting on asset performance, reliability, productivity, efficiency, and compliance.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and reporting on a programme of assurance, staff surveillance, work quality, and asset condition checks.
  • Compiling periodic reports and analysing trends to make recommendations to address issues that require management action.
  • Monitoring and reporting on asset performance, reliability, work productivity, and efficiency.
  • Managing the process to submit, monitor, and close out Non-Conformances.
  • Assisting in the investigation of incidents and performance/compliance-related failures.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of assurance and compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and procedures.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organisation skills.

Desirable Skills

The following skills are desirable:

  • Good knowledge of railway operating rules and regulations.
  • Good risk assessment/loss control knowledge.
  • Knowledge of asset reliability improvement and monitoring techniques.
  • Auditor qualification.
