Job Description

At ENGINEERINGUK, we are seeking a skilled Senior RME Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. As a Senior RME Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrate best practice in using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure adherence to correct processes.
  2. Track equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks, scheduling additional servicing as required.
  3. Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
  4. Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations, enabling them to process packages as quickly as possible.
  5. Support the identification of ways to continually improve systems and standardise processes across the EU network.

A Day in the Life

As a Senior RME Technician, you will lead a team to ensure that everyone has the equipment they need and that it is running properly. This involves monitoring processes to ensure compliance with regulations and policies, as well as performing preventative maintenance to increase equipment uptime.

With your observations during shifts, you will suggest improvements to make our systems more efficient and productive, implementing these improvements across the EU-wide function. You will also monitor processes using tools like Scada to guarantee performance, working closely with your line manager to assist with administrative tasks.

Our team handles various aspects of Amazon's technical side, including installing automated packaging systems, overseeing general maintenance of a site, and repairing key distribution equipment. We often work during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts.
