Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager – Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to join our growing team at Head Office, Nottingham. This role offers a unique opportunity to guide a talented team in shaping and executing our Technology and Transformation roadmap, aligning seamlessly with our organizational vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the selection, prioritization, and scheduling of projects within the portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools, continuously improving PMO processes and practices.
  • Support the continuous development of our Change Portfolio / PMO processes and drive opportunities to automate existing change management, governance processes, and change reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of planners and PMO analysts, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of our pods, projects, and programmes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Help lead the team on Agile and SCRUM methodologies and promote these practices throughout the Society.
  • Establish and enforce governance standards for project management within the organization.
Requirements

This role requires:

  • Proven experience leading a PMO team with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Proficiency in PMO tools and methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Passion for strategic thinking, with experience in business analysis, strategy development, business case development, and change management.
  • Portfolio or Programme management certifications (e.g., Prince 2, PMP, Agile, MSPs, P30, or APMP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management, including working and presenting with senior stakeholders and executives.
What We Offer

We offer a fair and competitive salary of £75,000 - £85,000 per annum, evaluated against market data. You will also receive an annual discretionary bonus scheme, Medicash healthcare scheme, car allowance, 27 days annual leave (increasing to 29 days from January), holiday purchase scheme (buy up to 5 days per year), and enhanced family leave.
