About the Role

Gorilla is seeking a highly skilled Energy Solutions Specialist to join our team. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge data solutions for a lower-carbon future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Lead the co-creation of bespoke calculation models, configuring and refining our platform to ensure every solution perfectly aligns with the customer's requirements.
  • Energy Sector Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of pricing, forecasting, and portfolio management to develop tailored calculation models in Gorilla.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with customer business experts, employing your project delivery skills and energy sector knowledge to craft the ideal solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold development quality through comprehensive test scenario creation and execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with project managers, solution architects, and the data engineering team to elevate the delivery of IT projects.
What You'll Do
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients, solution architects, and engineers to define requirements for calculation models and pinpoint specific data needs and algorithms.
  • Market Expertise: Use your knowledge of the UK Energy market to advocate for Gorilla's solutions, guiding prospects and clients through our pricing, forecasting, and billing offerings.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Facilitate workshops for customers, translating complex project details into comprehensible information for all stakeholders.
  • Process Analysis: Analyze client processes, pricing, and forecasting methodologies to effectively brief our engineering team and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Champion co-creation and teamwork, collaborating closely with colleagues across departments.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in project delivery within the energy retail industry, focusing on pricing, forecasting, or trading.
  • Deep understanding of the energy sector, capable of navigating multiple geographical energy markets and with a keen eye on the industry trends and developments.
  • Analytical and numerical problem-solving skills with a knack for understanding and addressing complex challenges.
  • Proficient in English, with exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking.
