Job Opportunity: East Lothian Council seeks an experienced Business Administrator to lead the administrative function at Ormiston Primary School.

This role requires exceptional organizational skills, excellent MS Office proficiency, particularly in Excel, and the ability to provide high-quality customer service to our school community and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with spreadsheets to track financial transactions and possess strong initiative under pressure to meet deadlines. The successful applicant will be part of a small team and contribute to maintaining a positive school environment.

We offer a competitive salary of £15.58 per hour, paid on a pro-rata basis for part-time hours or sessional posts. This is a 39-week sessional post, working during school term time plus in-service days.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Head Teacher
• Maintain accurate financial records using Excel
• Offer exceptional customer service to staff, pupils, and parents
• Collaborate with the school team to achieve goals and objectives

About Us:
Ormiston Primary School is a non-denominational school with approximately 300 pupils from nursery to P7. We have a traditional-style building with modern facilities, including a gym hall, library, music room, and kitchen. Our school community values teamwork, respect, and kindness.
