Job Title: Senior Category Manager

We are seeking a skilled Senior Category Manager to join our team at Castlefield Recruitment. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering value for money and innovative solutions across essential services.

The successful candidate will have experience in leading and managing a team of procurement professionals, overseeing key spend categories, and developing category-led procurement strategies. They will also provide expert advice and guidance on procurement matters, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations.

As a Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of procurement professionals to deliver high-quality procurement services
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on procurement matters, including contract management and stakeholder engagement
  • Identifying and recommending innovative sourcing opportunities to address business needs

Our ideal candidate will possess a CIPS Level 6 qualification, strong experience in procurement, and excellent communication and leadership skills. The salary for this role is approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
