Key Responsibilities:- Cost Estimation: Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to create comprehensive cost estimates for all phases of construction projects.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for precise cost estimations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges within the project and factor them into the cost estimation process.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, market shifts, and competitor pricing to ensure our estimates remain competitive and up-to-date.
- Cost-Saving Strategies: Suggest cost-saving strategies and value engineering options that maintain high quality and safety standards.
- Communication: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure the company receives the best possible value.
- Project Budgeting: Track and manage project budgets, providing regular updates to ensure projects stay within financial limits.
- Education: A degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Experience: Ability to show previous experience gained in working on infrastructure projects.
- Driving License: A full UK driving license.
