Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence Engineer

MBDA is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Image Processing UK department as a Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence Engineer for a 10-week summer placement in 2025.
About the RoleAs a Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development of MBDA products and technologies. You will work in a friendly and motivated team to research and solve problems in an exciting and cutting-edge field.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research studies into cutting-edge technological innovations for future products using Image Processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Computational Imaging techniques.
- Work in collaboration with expert engineers and other graduates from a broad range of fields, and gain an in-depth knowledge of the weapon's design and functionality.
- Utilize programming languages such as Matlab, Simulink, Python, Deep Learning libraries (e.g. Pytorch, scikit-learn, ONNX), C/C++, and hardware development boards (e.g. NVIDIA Jetson products).
We are looking for a candidate who is currently studying towards a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM discipline. You should have a strong understanding of programming languages and a passion for research and development.
