Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Assistant/Administrator to join our team at First Choice Staff.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of freight forwarding principles and a basic knowledge of logistics operations. Our client is looking for someone with 6 months + experience in the industry, who is eager to learn and take on new challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and support the operations team with administrative tasks, ensuring seamless communication and efficient workflow.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to incoming calls and directing inquiries to the relevant team members.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on our Freight Management System, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and processing of import and export documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, guiding them through the art shipping process and providing expert advice on logistics and transportation.
• Collaborate with the coordination team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipments, both domestically and internationally.
Requirements:
• 6 months + experience in freight forwarding or a related field.
• Strong understanding of logistics principles and operations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Basic knowledge of logistics software and systems.
