Teaching Personnel is a leading education recruitment agency, and we are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team of educators as Tutors. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting young learners on a 1-2-1 basis, helping them bridge gaps in their learning, grow confidence, and re-engage with education.
Our outreach tuition roles support young people who are not currently in or accessing mainstream schools. These individuals may be facing various challenges, including:
- Recent relocation
- Exclusion from school
- Being a Looked After Child
- Recent diagnosis of Special Educational Needs (SEN) requiring specialist provision
- Severe Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
As a Tutor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons for these young people. It is essential to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a rapport with each learner and ensuring they feel comfortable and safe. We encourage our Tutors to promote a growth mindset and a love for learning.
We require Tutors who can support Primary and Secondary aged pupils, focusing on Maths and English, in the Manningtree area and surrounding regions.
The ideal Tutor:
- Positive attitude: Passionate and committed to supporting young people.
- Excellent communication: Able to confirm arrangements for tuition sessions and maintain a stable line of communication with parents and Teaching Personnel.
- Ability to work face-to-face (within the pupil's home, care home, or public venue).
- Experience: Our roles are best suited to Fully Qualified Teachers, Higher Level Teaching Assistants, and SEN/SEMH Specialists.
The benefits of working with Teaching Personnel:
- A dedicated consultant to support you in finding roles and navigating the application process.
- A competitive hourly rate of up to £30.
- Exclusive access to our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) academy and opportunities.
- Autonomy over your working schedule.
All applicants must possess the necessary qualifications and training for this role. Please refer to our website for further details.
All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
