Job Summary:

Montgomery Advisory is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Assistant to join our team in London. As a key member of our Commercial Litigation team, you will work closely with experienced advocates, experts, and local counsel to secure the most favorable outcomes for our clients.

The Role:

As a Commercial Litigation Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the preparation and conduct of commercial litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other court documents.
  • Conducting research and analysis on complex commercial disputes, including reviewing case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Providing support to senior lawyers in the preparation of cases, including organizing documents, preparing evidence, and conducting interviews with witnesses.
  • Assisting in the negotiation of settlements and other dispute resolution processes.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, including communicating with them on a regular basis to keep them informed of the progress of their cases.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) at a highly regarded law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and substantive laws relevant to commercial litigation.
  • A solid academic background, demonstrated by a degree and exam results.
  • Experience in running negotiations and meetings with minimal supervision.
