Job Description
This full-time role involves supporting the delivery of high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 and 4. As a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting teachers during science lessons to ensure students stay engaged and on track with their learning.
- Delivering targeted support to small groups of students, helping to close attainment gaps in key scientific concepts.
- Working with individual students who require extra assistance in understanding complex topics or improving their practical skills.
- Assisting in setting up and managing science experiments, demonstrations, and equipment, maintaining health and safety standards.
- Preparing teaching materials and resources that enhance the learning experience.
- Serving as a role model and mentor, inspiring students to develop a passion for science and pursue their academic goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Recent graduate in a science-related field, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a similar discipline.
- Passion for Science: Enthusiastic about inspiring young people to engage with science and achieve their potential.
- Communication Skills: Confident in delivering explanations and instructions to students of varying abilities.
- Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to the needs of students and the wider school environment.
- Team Player: Willing to collaborate with teachers and other support staff to enhance the learning experience.
Salary and Benefits
