Job Title: Cover Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team at a pupil referral unit in Workington, West Cumbria. The successful candidate will support pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4, providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role:
  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH) in a specialist learning environment.
  • Develop relationships with pupils and provide individualized support to meet their needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.
  • Provide cover supervision in classrooms, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing disruption to the learning process.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils in an SEN or PRU setting.
  • Ability to support pupils with challenging behavior and develop strategies to promote positive relationships.
  • Resilience and confidence when working with SEMH pupils.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and professional references.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
