About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Raw Materials Technologist to join our team on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have experience in conducting food safety risk assessments. You will also have knowledge of computer software, including Word, Excel, and Access, and be able to generate procedures, graphs, reports, and presentations as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough food safety risk assessments for raw materials, collaborating closely with suppliers to gather relevant information.
  • Maintain and update raw material systems and databases, working effectively with Operations, Technical, Buying, and NPD departments.
  • Ensure that supplier approval information held centrally accurately reflects the factories' supply base and risk assessment outcomes.
  • Assist in capturing information and coordinating responses in the event of a food safety alert.
