An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Year 2 Teacher and Phase Lead to join a highly regarded primary school in Barnet, London. The school is known for its commitment to excellence, offering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where both students and staff thrive.
About the Role:- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional development.
- Work collaboratively with other Year 2 staff and teaching assistants to ensure high-quality teaching.
- As Phase Lead (KS1):
- Lead and mentor a team of teachers within Key Stage 1, supporting their professional development and ensuring the delivery of a cohesive and high-quality curriculum.
- Take responsibility for tracking and monitoring the academic progress of students in Key Stage 1.
- Coordinate phase-wide initiatives and ensure consistency in teaching and learning across Year 1 and Year 2.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to implement school-wide strategies and improvements.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Year 2 and strong knowledge of the national curriculum for KS1
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to support and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
