We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a senior clinician, you will contribute to the development of a clinical/counselling psychology/psychotherapy service for adult cancer patients, providing a range of interventions to support patients and those affected by cancer across the lifespan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological assessments and interventions to patients with cancer, including individual therapy and groups.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide advice to other professionals on patient care.
- Act as a coordinator to ensure adequate provision of care for patients and their relatives.
- Attend service meetings and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist with a post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or its equivalent. You will have registration with the Health Care Professions Council or a Master's Degree in psychotherapy. Accreditation with a UK psychotherapy professional body is also essential.
Desirable qualifications include post-qualification training in additional specialised areas of clinical practice, experience of working with patients with cancer or a life-limiting illness, and experience of working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
