About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in inspection engineering, with a strong understanding of mechanical design codes and their application. They will also have expert knowledge of inspection standards and legal requirements, including PSSR, PED, Pipeline Safety Regs, API, ASME, EEMUA, PUWER, LOLER, and DSEAR.

In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on high hazard refining or petrochemical sites, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement inspection plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including inspection results and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, chemical, or materials science).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection engineering, with a focus on high hazard refining or petrochemical sites.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design codes and their application.
  • Expert knowledge of inspection standards and legal requirements, including PSSR, PED, Pipeline Safety Regs, API, ASME, EEMUA, PUWER, LOLER, and DSEAR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
