GreenScape Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the company's commercial department, working closely with the Managing Director to maintain an overview of all specialist landscaping tenders.
The Job:You will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of all projects from design through estimating, procurement, and construction to completion. This will involve reviewing all tenders in respect to financial management and contractual risk, controlling supplier selection and sub-contract packages, and attending pre and post-contract meetings with clients as required.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to ensure the financial success of projects.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including financial and contractual commitments.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to determine purchasing and sub-contract policies.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Prepare and submit commercial reports to the Managing Director, highlighting key project performance metrics.
We are looking for a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in commercial landscaping or groundworks. You will have a proven track record of delivering design and build construction contracts, with a deep understanding of construction contracts, variations, and agreements.
- Hold a degree in a relevant field, such as quantity surveying or construction management.
- Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial quantity surveying role, with a focus on landscaping or groundworks.
- Be an effective team leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a strong understanding of project risk management and commercial strategies.
