Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team at Prime Appointments. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality components made from mild steel and aluminium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce components to tight tolerances
  • Work from technical drawings to produce bespoke products
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • NVQ/Diploma/degree in an engineering-related discipline
  • Previous experience working as a manual miller/turner or machinist
  • Self-motivated, meticulous, and good at working in a team

What We Offer:

  • A competitive starting salary of £15 per hour
  • The potential for a shift allowance, taking your pay up to over £17 per hour
  • A weekly rotating shift of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00
