About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Teaching Assistant to join our team in this vibrant Secondary school in Islington. As an Academic Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education, fostering a love of learning, and promoting academic excellence.

Salary:
We offer a highly competitive salary of £105-£110 per day, paid term-time only, reflecting the importance we place on attracting and retaining top talent in the field of education.

Job Description:
Your responsibilities will include planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. You will create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth, using a variety of strategies and resources to inspire curiosity and facilitate active learning. Additionally, you will assess student progress, provide feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A strong academic record, including a 1st Class / 2:1 Degree from a reputable university.
  • Strong academics across the board, with a particular emphasis on subject knowledge.
  • Experience working with Secondary-aged students, demonstrating your ability to adapt to their needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the Secondary curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, essential for building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, ensuring you stay up-to-date with best practices in education.
