Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Assystem Energy & Infrastructure in Derby. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, acquiring, and maintaining special to product tooling and fixtures to support the manufacture and delivery of Steam Raising Plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop tooling and fixtures to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time.
  • Execute manufacturing engineering activities to develop, maintain, and continuously improve tooling and fixtures.
  • Provide technical support to ensure tooling and fixtures are capable of meeting business and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce risk and drive product right first time.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved tooling and fixtures to meet current or future requirements.
  • Plan and manage activities, including schedule, resources, and costs, to ensure project timescales are met.

Requirements:

  • Professionally qualified engineer (e.g., UK minimum HNC/Foundation Degree or other national equivalent).
  • Recognized national or international engineering accreditation (e.g., UK IEng or CEng).
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the business.
  • General awareness of manufacturing systems and enabling software tools relevant to the business.
  • Understanding of manufacturing engineering processes relevant to the role.
  • Experience in NX and tooling/fixture design is highly desirable.

Additional Information:

  • This role requires a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
  • The successful candidate must be a UK national or in MoD-approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
