We are seeking a responsible and vigilant individual to assist with the safe crossing of pedestrians across roads to and from schools. As a School Crossing Patroller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of children and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the safe crossing of pedestrians across roads to and from schools
  • Monitor traffic conditions and ensure the safe passage of pedestrians
  • Work collaboratively with other stakeholders to promote road safety and awareness
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Basic knowledge of road safety and traffic management

Working Pattern:

This role will involve working on a part-time basis, with specific hours to be determined. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or evening work as required.

Regulated Work with Children:

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
