Systems Integration Expert

£55,000 - £85,000 per annum + benefits

We are seeking a seasoned Systems Integration Expert to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd.

The Role:

As a Systems Integration Expert, you will play a key role in supporting process automation projects across the UK. Your responsibilities will include taking part in the tendering process, configuring and developing PLC & SCADA software, and completing electrical design tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking part in the tendering process, reviewing specifications, and negotiating scope of supply.
  • Configuring and developing PLC & SCADA software for various applications.
  • Completing electrical design tasks, including cabling, field power cabling, and instrumentation configuration.
  • Creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) for instrument fittings, glands, cables, cable trays, etc.
  • Understanding contracts related to electrical and instrumentation scope of supply for process automation projects, primarily in the Water and FMCG sectors.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar industry.
  • Electrical design experience, preferably in AutoCAD.
  • Self-motivated and willing to travel flexibly across the UK.
  • Ideal candidates will have previously worked in a similar role within a systems integration environment.
  • Experience of WIMES for the water sector is highly advantageous.
  • MUST be an experienced professional for this role.

This position involves approximately 30% travel across the UK with occasional overnights. You will travel out to customers to collect client specifications and return to support test and commissioning. All expenses are covered, and mileage is paid at the top government rate.
