Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR).

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for sourcing, pricing, soliciting, analyzing, composing and/or processing purchase requests for materials, services, and supplies.

• Purchase goods and services
• Solicit verbal and written quotations
• Research commodity areas, specifications, and contractual terms to fulfill departmental requirements and compose bids/proposals and quotes
• Analyze submitted proposals, seek end user's input, and prepare an award recommendation for the approval process
• Research new sources and maintain lists of vendors able to service departmental needs
• Correspond with vendors for pricing, availability and market trends
• Plan and participate in commodity surveys, analyzing results and takes necessary action
• Drive on state business
• Perform other duties as appropriate to the assignment

Requirements

• Mastery of purchasing business practices and procedures
• Knowledge of the Arizona Procurement Code and statewide procurement software (Arizona Procurement Portal)
• Departmental policies and procedures relating to purchasing
• Purchasing business practices and procedures
