About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Lidl in Deutschland. As a Shift Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, leading by example and setting high standards for your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing coaching and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including managing stock, processing returns, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Work closely with other Shift Leaders and Department Managers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse.
  • Support the Department Manager with personnel management, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Proactively promote efficient working methods and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and to adapt to changing situations calmly and swiftly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • SAP EWM experience desirable.
