Job Title: Software Engineer

At FLOWBIRD, we are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions for our microservice-based applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software solutions using C# and.NET on Android and.NET Compact Framework platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with our Scrum team to deliver high-quality software products.
  • Contribute to the improvement of software quality and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to FLOWBIRD's technical standards and development processes.
  • Participate in software design reviews and contribute to the refinement of specifications and requirements.
  • Write effective software and test documentation.
  • Resolve technical issues arising during the project lifecycle and after release.
Essential Experience:
  • Experience in embedded software development environments.
  • 2+ years of C#/.NET software development experience using Visual Studio IDE, on Android and/or.NET Compact Framework.
  • 1+ years of object-oriented design and programming using UML, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • 1+ years of developing REST/RESTful interfaces.
  • 2+ years of agile experience, including Scrum, Kanban, and agile mindset.
  • Experience with CI and automated testing (TDD or BDD).
  • Source control tools such as Bitbucket.
  • CICD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, and Artifactory.
  • Unit test and code coverage tool experience such as NUnit, SonarCube, and AltCover.
Desired Experience:
  • Experience with microservice architectures.
  • Experience with one or more JavaScript technologies.
  • Experience with database technologies.
  • User Interface implementation.
  • Experience in any of the following areas of expertise would be an advantage:
    • Transport Ticketing.
    • Point of Sale Terminals.
    • Contactless Smartcards, ITSO.
    • Contactless Payments and Payments Standards (cEMV, PCI, P2PE).
    • Internet Security and protocols – e.g. OWASP, OAuth2, OpenID.
