Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - Bradford Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a brilliant Primary School in Bradford. As a SEND TA, you will work closely with teaching and SEND staff to provide high-quality support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support two children with autism and additional needs, one in the morning and one in the afternoon
  • Work under the guidance of teaching and SEND staff to develop and implement support programs
  • Help pupils understand instructions and schoolwork using tailored techniques
  • Encourage pupils' confidence and independence, and provide feedback and assistance to teachers
  • Support the social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) provision for pupils with SEND and ALN

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of the National Key Stage curriculum, levels 2 through 4
  • Experience in working with children with SEND and ALN in a school setting or similar environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A positive attitude, a sense of humour, and a willingness to learn
