Job Opportunity: HGV Technician

JP Recruitment Solutions is pleased to be supporting a leading national organisation in Carlisle to recruit a permanent HGV Technician. Our client is seeking talented individuals who want to build a long-term career within a reputable business.

This role involves working on a day shift (06:00-15:30) and back shift (13:00-22:30) rotating each week.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturer procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Assisting in the fault diagnosis process.
  • Complying with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
  • Road testing vehicles when required.
  • Reporting all vehicle defects to the workshop controller.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Fitter.
  • A Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification, with Level 2 qualifications also considered.
  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining and fixing large vehicles is essential.
  • A full UK Driving Licence, with a Class 1 or 2 licence being highly beneficial.
