Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

R&V Group is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring correct and thorough completion of paperwork, observing and adhering to company rules and procedures, and maintaining a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mix of trunking and store deliveries
  • Deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule
  • Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
  • Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
  • Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
  • Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
  • Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
  • Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business
  • Any other duties as reasonably required
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver
  • Valid HGV Class 1 license
  • Good knowledge of transport operations and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
