As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of effective care to patients on the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU).
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You will also have the ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
About the Role
- You will participate in meetings and handovers to discuss patient progress and care, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
- Monitors and maintains stock levels on the ward or department, minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.
- Undertakes errand duties, including transporting specimens, collecting instruments and drugs, and retrieving case notes as required.
- Assists in preparing patient case notes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Effective customer service skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure seamless collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Demonstrable ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality, adhering to trust policies and procedures.
What We Offer
In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and training, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive work environment.
