Lead IoT Data Specialist

Tank Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Lead IoT Data Specialist to join their dynamic IT team. This is an exciting and varied role, where you will lead a team of IoT Data Specialists while collaborating with IoT experts and engaging with business stakeholders.

The team operates as an internal 'IoT Lab', delivering IoT data proof-of-value experiments and projects, both on-premise and in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evaluation and review of data engineering and data science methods, providing expert advice on tools and standards used across the organisation.
  • Plan, design, and execute unit tests for models and algorithms, working closely with the QA team to ensure error-free results.
  • Oversee performance and usability tests, ensuring solutions deliver optimal performance and are user-friendly.
  • Review technical specifications from suppliers and IT partners, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Lead peer reviews within your team, including contractors and third parties, to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Solution Architects to establish and maintain standards, patterns, and designs for projects.
  • Design, code, test, and document data solutions, adhering to agreed standards and ensuring secure data management.
  • Develop and mentor team members, conducting regular check-ins and overseeing line management responsibilities.

  • Ability to design, code, test, and document data solutions, adhering to agreed standards and ensuring secure data management.
