Warehouse Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at New Appointments Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth handling of goods and materials.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Receive, count, and record goods, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  3. Manage stock movements and control using our ERP system, ensuring efficient stock allocation and kitting.
  4. Ensure traceability of goods and materials, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  5. Pack goods for dispatch, adhering to industry standards and customer requirements.
  6. Book couriers and dispatch goods, ensuring Export Compliance rules are followed.
  7. Perform general maintenance activities, including forklift operation (preferable but not essential).
  8. Drive company vehicles as required.
  9. Perform additional tasks as required by line management.

Requirements:

  • Forklift License (preferable but not essential)
  • English and Maths, GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent)
  • Previous warehouse experience (not essential)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Computer Literate (MS Office Packages)
  • Multi-Skilled
  • Good Communicator
