Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced journalist and team leader to oversee our travel content and manage a team of writers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental or commodity markets, with a proven track record of producing high-quality news stories and managing teams.

The role involves managing news output, liaising with industry contacts, and contributing to price discovery in opaque markets.

Regular travel within Europe/Africa and attendance at industry conferences will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage a team of writers and editors to produce high-quality travel content
  2. Liaise with industry contacts to identify priorities and develop contacts
  3. Contribute to price discovery by developing and engaging contacts
  4. Produce spot news stories and longer-form journalism

Requirements

  1. A minimum of ten years experience in environmental or commodity markets
  2. Demonstrable news writing skills and experience as a team leader
  3. Awareness of price discovery in opaque markets and what it entails
  4. The ability to juggle several tasks at once and work well under pressure
