Avionic Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionic Design Engineer to join our team at KDC Resource in Bournemouth. As an Avionic Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design activities associated with avionic modifications, installations, and structural repair schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and clearing technical queries
  • Capturing data and requirements
  • Creating and modifying 3D models from conceptual designs through to Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Creating 2D drawings as required
  • Liaising with customer design teams and other departments, including manufacturing and tooling
  • Ensuring full adherence to Quality processes to perform checks and validation of all work
  • Participating in Design Reviews, including tracking and closure of actions
  • Conducting clash detection analysis and reporting

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or similar
  • Previous experience in an aerospace/defence/high tech sector design role
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
