Stores Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Stores Assistant to join our team at a global client based in Derby. This is a permanent opportunity to work with a thriving business.

The successful candidate will work within a workshop environment, carrying out inspections and repairs to customer specification. This role involves visiting customer sites to ensure high-quality products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspections of engine stands and products delivered
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accuracy
  • Perform painting duties and maintain a clean and organized workshop area
  • Receive and store products, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and skills

Requirements:

  • Visual inspection skills
  • Experience with FLT operation (advantageous but not essential)
  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication (desirable)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Willingness to travel to local sites and be on call
  • Valid driving license essential

Working Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 16:30, Friday 7:00 - 13:00

Hourly Rate: £11.44- £11.52 per hour, plus overtime rate
