Payroll Operations Manager

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor to join our esteemed client in Bicester, Oxfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a pivotal role in providing tailored payroll services to businesses across the UK.
As a Payroll Supervisor, you will oversee the entire payroll process, including data entry, reconciliation, and obtaining client approvals. You will also review and validate the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:- Payroll Process Management: Oversee the entire payroll process, including data entry, reconciliation, and obtaining client approvals.
- Team Leadership: Review and validate the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Payroll Journals and Reconciliation: Prepare payroll journals and reconcile PAYE figures on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Pension Management: Manage Pension Auto-enrolment, including declarations to The Pensions Regulator and maintaining pension scheme returns.
- Client and Internal Queries: Handle client, HMRC, and internal queries with professionalism and efficiency.
- New Client Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and setup.
- Payroll Experience: Proven experience in practice or a payroll bureau environment.
- Tax and NI Knowledge: Strong knowledge of tax, NI, pensions, statutory family leave, SSP, and salary sacrifice calculations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptability: A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Organisation: Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- MS Office Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly intermediate-level Excel skills.
- Salary: Salary circa £32,000 - £42,000 per annum.
