The ideal Logistics Coordinator will possess prior experience in UK transportation operations and have a background in the freight or logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and optimize routes for available vehicles to ensure timely collections and deliveries across the UK.
  • Assign resources effectively, ensuring the right personnel are allocated to operate the vehicles.
  • Verify that all collection and delivery documentation is complete and provides necessary details for vehicle allocation, as well as for road crews to execute their tasks efficiently.
  • Act as the primary liaison for all UK road crews, addressing any inquiries and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Communicate with clients and delivery points as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency in transport operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations governing vehicle and driver operations.
  • Keep colleagues informed about any costs, delays, or changes that deviate from initial expectations.
  • Prior experience in UK transport planning within the freight or logistics industry is essential.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to personal transportation.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team of three.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team.
  • Experience in handling general cargo, specialized traffic, installations, technical logistics, and customized logistics solutions.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in similar roles within a freight forwarding or logistics environment. All levels of experience are welcome, and appropriate training will be provided as necessary. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Employment Terms:
  • Alternating shifts from Monday to Friday.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.

  • 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
