Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fabric Technologist to join our Materials team at QHQ Ltd. As a key member of our Product Department, you will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and producing premium quality fabrics and materials that meet our brand and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and source high-quality fabrics and materials that meet our brand's aesthetic and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct research and development to identify new and innovative fabric technologies that align with our brand's strategy.
• Work closely with the Product team to ensure that expected quality standards and deadlines are met from concept to delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with fabric and materials suppliers to ensure that standards and specifications are understood and executable.
• Responsible for fabric development across multiple categories, including waterproof, insulation, fleece, jersey, and technical wovens.
• Understanding of technical and performance fabrics and finishes, as well as techniques such as print, is a must-have.
• Responsible for following materials from ideation, development, commercialization, and production.
• Responsible for initial costing to hit required margin targets.
• Must understand fabric testing requirements and standards and have experience problem-solving if issues are found.
• Strong communication skills to work with mills in EU and Asia.
• Knowledge and experience of sustainability are a benefit.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of technical and performance fabrics and finishes.
• Experience in fabric development, sourcing, and production.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of sustainability and environmental impact is a plus.
