About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer Lead to join our dynamic Technical Operations Team. As a key player in deploying, maintaining, and supporting cloud infrastructure, you'll be instrumental in ensuring seamless technical project delivery and upholding Service Level Agreements for our valued customers.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Environment Management: Manage, maintain, and optimize Azure environments to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Infrastructure Deployment: Deploy Azure Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support customer and internal projects.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to shape cloud strategy and drive innovation.
  • Process Automation: Automate manual activities and streamline processes to improve efficiency.
  • Project Rollout: Own the rollout and deployment of large-scale projects, ensuring timely and successful execution.
  • DevOps Development: Participate in the development of DevOps functionalities like ongoing integration and monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Advanced troubleshooting and proactive support of cloud environments, serving as an escalation point for other team members.
  • Mentorship: Become a mentor to other team members, sharing expertise and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Azure Expertise: Extensive experience with Azure design, deployment, and maintenance.
  • IaaS, SaaS, PaaS: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Scripting and Automation: Comfortable scripting and automating tasks using appropriate tooling, such as PowerShell.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Experience in deploying infrastructure as code.
  • CI/CD Tooling: Familiarity with common Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tooling.
  • Event-Driven Architectures: Knowledge of event-driven architectures, such as Azure Service Bus.
  • Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical personnel at all levels.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
