Job Title: Practice Nurse Band 6

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Practice Nurse to join our team at HCRG Workforce Solutions. As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary healthcare services to our clients in military locations throughout the UK.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with a strong background in primary healthcare, able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care for patients, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of programmes of care and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality primary healthcare services to clients in military locations
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical care for patients
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programmes of care and service delivery
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve clinical and operational objectives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Adult) Level 1 with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Valid, in-date Personal Identification Number (PIN)
  • Minimum of two years post-registration experience in primary healthcare practice
  • Minimum of one year's post-registration experience in a Band 6 or higher grade in a primary healthcare setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) certification
  • Immunisation and Vaccination Foundation Training and annual update e-learning training
Desirable Requirements:
  • Previous experience using the Defence Medical Information System (DMICP) and the DMS Automated Significant Event Reporting (ASER) system
  • Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) PHC experience
  • Experience of managing and ordering of stock in a non-dispensing practice environment
