Role Overview

Pertemps Scotland is seeking a skilled and dedicated Night Shift Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a rapidly growing engineering company that provides world-class Asset Life-Cycle Management solutions.

About the Role

This fixed night shift position, Monday to Friday 10pm-6am, offers a competitive salary of £53,200 (inclusive of base salary & shift allowance) and a range of benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, improving, and controlling production, automation, and plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet Production Targets: Ensure consistent achievement of production targets every shift.
  • Safety First: Oversee operating procedures, prioritizing safety at all times.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular PPM maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical problems efficiently.
  • Process Enhancement: Implement strategies for ongoing process and performance enhancement.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and repair equipment and automated systems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Issue Reporting: Accurately document and report any issues encountered during shifts.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other teams and departments to achieve production goals through effective communication and problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Relevant Engineering Experience: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Qualifications: BTEC/HNC/HND/C&G or Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Electrical/Mechanical Engineer with strong technical knowledge in relevant fields.
  • Safety Procedures: Familiarity with relevant safety procedures and regulations.
  • Quality Management System: Understanding of the importance and principles of an advanced Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Machinery Maintenance: Experience in maintaining and repairing Machinery and Production equipment.
  • Industrial Networks: Experience with industrial networks and control systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Planned Maintenance: Experience of safely conducting planned maintenance across a site ensuring maintenance procedures are followed.
  • Teamwork: Willingness to learn and adapt to role requirements, working well in a team within a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work at Height: Ability and willingness to work at height.
  • Quality Management System: Previous knowledge and understanding of the importance and relevance of a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • CMMS: Experience of updating records of tasks/spare parts used from store and work completed, using a CMMS.
