Are you a Supervisor in the Rail industry looking for a new challenge? TXM Recruit has an Engineering Depot Supervisor opportunity for one of our key rail clients based in Crewe on a permanent basis.

The successful applicant should be a safety-conscious and motivated self-starter, a fully versatile team player with a willingness to work a 24/7 shift roster, on a salary of £49,885 per annum.

As an Engineering Depot Supervisor, the successful candidate will report to the Engineering Production Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the team of Mechanical & Electrical Fitters deliver the maintenance production plan safely and efficiently to meet and exceed customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintaining a safe environment for all to work, ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to and processes improved as we strive to be injury-free.
  2. Providing leadership to your team to create an engaged and motivated workforce.
  3. Carrying out IPEs and safety observations to develop team members.
  4. Ensuring safe, quality, and reliable production while working to achieve fleet availability and reliability targets.
  5. Continuously working in accordance with all G&W and Freightliner policies and procedures.
Required Competencies:
  1. Commitment to safe working practices - the ability to be a safety leader.
  2. Apprentice-trained or time-served.
  3. Supervisory or man-management experience and the ability to make sound engineering decisions.
  4. Experience of Traction and Rolling Stock.
  5. Engineering qualification, preferably HNC standard in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  6. Ability to seek continuous improvement.
