Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Manager to join our team at Bestfood Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Warehouse Operatives and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of Warehouse Operatives to achieve productivity targets and maintain safe working practices.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Train and coach Warehouse staff to achieve set standards.
- Monitor team performance and behaviour, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Complete new starter reviews and contribute to decisions on confirmation of employment.
- Motivate team members by communicating performance targets and areas for improvement.
- Ensure employees understand company policies and procedures.
- Lead by example in maintaining and improving safety standards.
- Minimise stock loss and cost of credits in the warehouse.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene.
- Understand and comply with food safety legislation.
- Implement disciplinary and grievance policies.
- Solve grievance issues promptly and informally where possible.
- Manage shift demands and deal with problems professionally.
- Identify staff training and development needs.
- Monitor morale levels and communicate concerns to your Manager.
- Monitor payroll and attendance recording.
- Adopt a flexible approach to working shifts.
- Develop positive relationships with colleagues and the management team.
40 hours per week, working 4 days on and 4 days off, including weekends and public holidays. Potential overtime available.
