Job Overview

Serco Group is seeking a Prison Escort & Custody Officer to provide safe and secure court transportation services. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this role ranges from £31,316 to £33,416, including driving allowances and overtime. You will also be eligible for a base salary increment after one year.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will collect detainees from prisons or police stations and transport them safely to courts.
  • You will ensure the care and wellbeing of detainees during transportation.
Requirements
  • A current driver's license, C1 License (valid CPC card desirable) / D License (with valid CPC card & Tacho Graph desirable).
  • Pass an online assessment and competency-based virtual interview.
  • Enhanced Level 2 Ministry of Justice checks with Enhanced DBS (Adult & Child Barring) and satisfactory employment references.
