Job Opportunity: Van Driver/Relief HGV Driver
We are seeking a skilled Van Driver/Relief HGV Driver to join our team at our Plymouth Branch. As a key member of our external team, you will be responsible for making multi-drop deliveries to our customers in the surrounding area in a transit van.
When not driving, you will be expected to assist customers, provide excellent customer service, load and unload vehicles, pick and check orders, store stock safely, and maintain a tidy, safe working environment. This role will also provide cover for the HGV drivers as and when required.
You will be working within a small, close-knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
A Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential for this role, along with a Class 2 Licence and a full CPC. HIAB (Crane) experience would be a distinct advantage, but training can be given. Building industry knowledge would also be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make multi-drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area
- Assist customers, provide excellent customer service, and load/unload vehicles
- Store stock safely and maintain a tidy, safe working environment
- Provide cover for HGV drivers as and when required
Requirements:
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Class 2 Licence
- Full CPC
- HIAB (Crane) experience (advantageous)
- Building industry knowledge (advantageous)
